A teacher’s influence does not end on the last day of school. In OAJ’s Kiitos, opettaja (Thank You, Teacher) campaign, Finnish people revisited encounters that had shaped their lives.

OAJ wanted to build appreciation for teachers’ work. In the campaign created by Tekir, Jani Toivola, Seela Sella, Ina Mikkola and Peter Nyman talked about teachers whose encouragement had stayed with them. They invited others across Finland to share their thanks too.
Tonto Helsinki produced the films and campaign photography. Tuukka Harala directed the films and Konsta Leppänen shot the photographs. These personal stories became a campaign for television, digital channels and print.
Results
According to Tekir, the campaign reached two million people in Finland on social media and generated hundreds of messages thanking teachers.
